Tuskar 3 launched in 2016 with a simple ambition: to run the kind of charter trip that the skipper himself would want to be on. A serious, well-equipped boat, a small group of anglers on board, and a relentless focus on finding fish.
Over the years we've refined every detail — from the rods and reels we put in your hands, to the marks we work in different seasons, to the on-board kettle that keeps the day going. What hasn't changed is the philosophy: small group, big effort, premium experience.
Today we run reef trips, full-day deep sea expeditions, private charters and group bookings across the Bristol Channel — from the inshore sandbanks just out of Cardiff Bay to the offshore wrecks 60 nautical miles out. Customers come back, year after year. That's the metric we care about most.
Haydn Ross — decades on these waters, and still learning them.
Born and raised on the South Wales coast, Haydn has fished these waters since childhood and worked them commercially for more than twenty years. He holds the relevant qualifications, but what really matters is what they don't test for: an intuitive read of tide, weather and fish behaviour built up over thousands of hours at sea.
